27. GENERAL:

Any of the above acts which brings the School’s name into disrepute may result in a public apology.

EXAMINATION DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES

1. When a learner transgressors during an examination session he / she will be placed detention for 1hour – on the same day. The educator will record this in the Examination DT Book, stating the reason/s for the detention.

2. A learner who has been detained twice will receive one demerit. The Head

of Grade is responsible for recording these demerits at the end of the week.

3. Learners who fail to arrive for detention will receive an estimated mark for the

examination written that day. Principal to make contact with parents. A 2 hour

detention will have to be completed thus incurring 1 demerit.

4. Learners who are present for detention role call but take leave of their own accord will receive a zero for that exam paper.

5. Cheating in an examination paper will result in a zero for that exam paper.

6. Cellular phones may not be kept on their person during an examination. They are to be handed in at the beginning of the exam to the office and may be collected at the end of the day. Failure to do so would result in;

(a) an estimated mark being given for the exam and a 1 hr detention

(b) confiscation for at least one term.
